This species guide will help clarify what types of species/abilities can be played and their characteristics so you know for reference while RPing, as well as filling out your application.
Vampires have porcelain skin which is very pale and cold, almost marble-like. Vampires can either be 'Vegeterian', meaning their diet consists of animal blood, or they can feed on humans. Vampires can venture alone or be a part of a coven (original covens are absolutely welcome!) They are immortal, though can be destroyed if their body is torn into pieces and lit on fire. Vampires are extremely fast and strong. Some vampires have special abilities, and most of these stem from a particular strength they had as a human prior to being changed to a vampire.
While technically werewolves are shape-shifters, for the purpose of the site, since we do not allow other shape-shifter types, they will be called werewolves here. They are exclusively Quileute tribe members and typically begin to shape-shift once they've hit puberty or when so many vampires are around it triggers the gene so they can 'protect' the land around them.
A sort of virus is spreading in Forks, though the origination is unknown, that is allowing humans to have elemental powers. Some may have small powers such as being able to light their fingers on fire, others may be able to control the rivers, etc. Some elemental humans keep their powers secret from others, only telling their best friends, and others don't mind letting people know about their powers.
Basically humans above, but without the elemental powers and cool stuff.
